COOPERATION WITH UBC FOR GRANT CONSULTANTS

FIND A GRANTS CONSULTANT

A grant consultant can cooperate with UBC and receive new projects for preparing applications, business plans, budgets and competition materials for network clients. The partner handles the grant part, while business registration, accounting calculations, contracts and other related matters can be handled by the UBC centre and specialist network participants.

Remuneration for a joint order is agreed according to each party's actual role.

New grant projects from network clients

Some specialists work with microgrants for starting a business, while others work with production, export, innovation or regional programmes. UBC transfers grant projects to partners with experience in the relevant industry, funding scale and application format. It is important that the consultant understands both the application form and the economics of the project.

Before selection, it is stated which part is already ready: business plan, budget, commercial proposals, registration documents and partnerships. The consultant receives a precise task and assesses timing based on the actual set. The owner understands which data will be prepared by the team and what the provider will undertake.

The consultant can focus on the competition application, budget and requirements of the specific programme. Registration, accounting, legal and other client-project matters can be transferred through the network without expanding the consultant's own team into every specialisation.

The commercial result of a joint grant project is divided according to the part of the application and support actually performed by the partner.

The task states the list of programmes, selection criteria, application composition, number of iterations, interview preparation and support after the decision. It is defined separately who is responsible for the accuracy of source figures and who confirms electronic submission. The consultant helps formalise the project, while decisions and promises concerning the business remain with the applicant.

UBC analyses the partner's proposal, helps agree the documents and controls the set being transferred. Remuneration may be calculated for part of the work or the whole project; the payment principle is agreed in advance and does not replace the programme's official decision. The client receives a specialist working with a specific application and clear work results.

For the first assessment, you can send electronic registration documents, a short project description, an indicative budget and the grant amount. If a programme has already been found, add its terms; if the programme has not yet been selected, it is sufficient to state the industry, region and intended use of the funding:

  • description of the project, industry, region and required funding
  • link to the programme or criteria for the desired support
  • draft business plan and financial calculations
  • registration documents and information about the team
  • submission calendar and contact details of the responsible applicant

Financial, legal and registration support through UBC

The partner receives the project description, funding amount, industry, region and application deadline. UBC transfers the assignment to a consultant with experience of the relevant grant programmes and agrees the terms of participation. The partner accepts the project after seeing which parts of the application they will prepare and which information must be confirmed by the owner or enterprise employees.

  1. The task description and available documents are received.
  2. Experience with the relevant type of programme, industry and consultant participation format are required.
  3. UBC takes into account the consultant's experience with programmes of the relevant type and scale.
  4. The parties agree the application scope, submission deadline, price and format for transferring materials.
  5. UBC organises contact with the client and transfer of the completed competition set.

A partner grant consultant can receive projects according to industry and programme type. Before work begins, the parties agree who prepares the business plan, who calculates the budget and who is responsible for submission on behalf of the applicant. The owner retains control over project commitments and makes decisions on co-financing, hiring employees and other obligations arising after the grant is received.

Only a review of a completed application, development of a business plan or support for the full competition package can be ordered. The price depends on the volume of financial calculations, number of annexes, document language and time remaining to the deadline. If the budget and commercial proposals are already prepared, they are transferred to the consultant without paying again to prepare the same source data.

The support price is determined after stating the programme or project parameters, volume of completed materials and final submission deadline. The business plan, financial model, translation, presentation or interview preparation are agreed separately if genuinely required. When the project is agreed, the partner sees whether their part includes only completion of the form or full preparation of the application and budget.

Completed work is accepted against a set that can be submitted to the selected programme: application, budget, business plan, annexes and responses to mandatory criteria. The owner reconciles the figures with the enterprise's actual capabilities because the applicant confirms the submitted information. The final version also clarifies the deadline, submission method and documents that must be signed or uploaded personally.

The consultant's work is assessed by readiness of the application for submission, rather than the number of consultations. The client receives final texts, budget, annexes and a list of actions remaining with the applicant. If the competition organiser requests clarification, a response can be prepared quickly because the source figures and justification are already collected in one set.

After acceptance, the manager receives the final application, budget, business plan, annexes and confirmation that the set is ready for submission to the selected programme. The deadline, submission method and list of applicant obligations after the organiser's decision are stored separately. If clarification is requested or funding is received, the owner continues work with the same calculations and documents without collecting the data again.

The partner receives a grant assignment according to their specialisation: a microgrant, production programme, export project, innovation competition or regional support. Before work begins, the partner receives the documents and figures for the selected programme, a list of materials for their part and the date by which the application must be fully ready for submission.

When an owner plans to participate in several competitions, it is useful to keep confirmed project figures, product description, budget and commercial proposals up to date. If the first application did not produce funding, the completed economic part can be adapted to another programme. After a grant is received, work continues under the specific funding, reporting and expense-confirmation conditions.

How a consultant participates in a joint application

Before the project begins, the parties agree what the consultant delivers after diagnostics, budget preparation, application completion and responses to additional questions. The owner participates in decisions on sales, jobs, own contribution and the calendar, while the provider formalises the agreed data according to the programme requirements.

UBC coordinates the specialist independent partner and collects comments in one working version. The owner receives the application, supporting documents and an action plan after the funding decision. This procedure makes it possible to assess the work by the specific result of each part.

Frequently Asked Questions

How can the consultant's experience be confirmed?

Ask for examples of comparable programmes, a description of the specialist's role, work methodology and a list of documents delivered.

Can the consultant submit the application instead of the applicant?

The representation format depends on the programme; applications and confirmations are made by the person stated in the official terms.

Who prepares the financial model?

This is agreed in the task: the consultant may prepare the calculation or confirm data prepared by the owner and accounting team.

Can only a search for programmes be ordered?

Yes. A separate part of the work can provide a selection with criteria, deadlines, budget and a recommendation on priority.
