GRANTS FOR UKRAINIAN BUSINESS
A grant can finance the launch or development of a company where the project meets the programme objective and the budget is based on real prices and the team's capabilities. We will identify a suitable competition, check the conditions as at the filing date and combine the business plan, calculations and evidence into one package.
The owner will see in advance which costs the grant covers, what contribution is required from the business and how the result will be evidenced.
Grant Programme and Applicant Requirements
The starting point should be what the owner plans to achieve with the funding, followed by determining the required grant amount. Different programmes and criteria apply to production equipment, job creation, processing, exports or a digital product. The activity, place of implementation, stage of the business, ownership structure and planned expenditure are compared with the official competition conditions.
The conditions of government and donor programmes change, so before filing we analyse the current rules, application period, filing channel and restrictions on activities. If several programmes fit the project, we compare the amount, reporting, co-financing, procurement timetable and obligations after the funds are received.
The commission or authorised bank assesses whether the applicant can implement the stated plan. Sales are therefore linked to production capacity, personnel, premises, suppliers and time to market. A calculation based only on desired revenue is replaced with supportable assumptions: number of customers, average price, utilisation and confirmed costs.
UBC specialists prepare a base-case scenario together with a reserve of time and working capital. This reserve shows how the obligations will be met if sales build more slowly. The owner receives a working calculation that can also be used after the competition is completed.
Budget, Documents and Project Justification
Each budget item is matched to the programme rules and a supplier's commercial offer. Equipment, raw materials, rent, software, marketing and other expenditure are included only within the specific conditions. Taxes, delivery, installation and exchange-rate differences are accounted for separately so that the budget remains sufficient after the project is approved.
- name and purpose of each purchase;
- price and source confirming it;
- procurement deadline and supplier readiness;
- the company's own contribution;
- document evidencing the use of funds.
Before filing, registration details, KVED activity codes, ownership structure, tax status, reporting and banking transactions are cross-checked. The business plan must correspond to the applicant's actual activities and capabilities. For a new company, the team's experience and resources already invested are described; for an operating business, results, customer base and the reason for expansion are shown.
The signatory's authority and the owners' consent to obligations under the programme are analysed separately. If the grant requires jobs, targeted use of funds or a specified operating period, these conditions are immediately included in the financial calendar. The owner understands who is responsible for procurement, recruitment, accounting and reporting.
UBC collects the source data, brings the calculations into one format and helps present the project in ordinary business language. The application shows the product, customer, sales method, team, budget and measurable result. All figures in the text are reconciled with the tables and attachments.
Before the interview, questions about the market, own contribution, suppliers, revenue and obligations are reviewed. The owner answers in their own words and relies on familiar calculations. The application is based on verified achievements, while the commission makes the decision; UBC's task is to prepare an accurate, consistent and supportable project.
Application, Decision and Use of Funds
After the grant is awarded, a procurement and supporting-document calendar is maintained. Contracts, invoices, payments, acceptance documents and accounting records must correspond to the approved purpose of the funds. If the programme provides for approval of changes, the procedure is analysed first and the plan is then formally amended.
A concise owner report is prepared: received, paid, delivered, put into operation and which obligations remain. This record helps ensure that the financing is used for its intended purpose and shows the grant's actual contribution to revenue, productivity or order volumes.
Send a project description, information about the company and owners, an approximate budget, financial indicators and information about the team. If a programme has already been selected, add a link to the competition and the draft application. UBC specialists will analyse compliance with the main conditions and propose the scope of work: programme selection, application, financial model or full support.
The grant amount is linked to equipment, jobs, revenue and the company's own financing. The calculation shows whether the business will be able to deliver the stated plan after receiving the funds and which costs must be covered independently. The owner receives a budget and action calendar suitable both for managing the project and completing the application.
Before filing, supplier prices, procurement deadlines and the part of the budget financed by the business owner are compared separately. The effect of the planned expenditure on production, the team and sales is then analysed. These calculations help agree realistic project indicators and allocate responsibility for delivery in advance. The manager also sees the funding sequence for each stage.
The cost and timetable are determined after an initial review of the materials. The scope is affected by the selected programme, the state of the business plan, the level of budget detail, the number of suppliers and the extent of post-filing support. Before work begins, the tasks, source data, number of approval rounds, file format and specialists involved in separate issues are fixed.
As a result, you receive a completed application, verified calculations, a package of attachments and an obligations calendar. The scope and price are fixed in the proposal, so the owner understands the project boundaries in advance and can separately order further support for negotiations, the agreement, accounting or corporate actions.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can an operating company receive a grant?
Yes, if the conditions of the specific programme permit an existing business and the project meets its objective. UBC specialists will analyse the requirements for the applicant, activities, expenditure and obligations.
What amounts and expenditure are available in 2026?
Amounts, applicant categories and eligible expenditure depend on the programme and may change. The official conditions in force on the filing date are used before preparation begins.
Can equipment already purchased be included?
This depends on the competition rules. The budget and eligible expenditure period are determined separately, so the purchase date and payment method should be analysed in advance.
Who handles reporting after the grant is received?
Responsibility remains with the recipient, while UBC can organise contractual, accounting and documentary support within the agreed scope.
